RIP Dom DeLouise

Dom DeLuise speelde in films als The Cannonball Run, Smokey and the Bandit II, History of the World: Part I en Cannonball Run II. Tevens presenteerde hij het programma Candid Camera gedurende enkele jaren.

DeLuise died peacefully in his sleep while in hospital in Santa Monica on Monday, surrounded by his family, his son Michael DeLuise told KTLA television.

He was 75.

DeLuise appeared in a series of films alongside Hollywood icon Burt Reynolds.

"Dom always made you feel better when he was around, and there will never be another like him. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone, and I will miss him very much," Reynolds said.

As well as acting, DeLuise also authored several cookbooks and children's books.
